Penn Power is inspecting high tension lines in the south hills of Pittsburgh this morning.
The amount of NOPE is fairly high in this job, flying along the lines at 200 feet AGL, stopping so the guy hanging out the doors can scan the lines with IR and UV cameras.

This is the exact kind of job that drones replace. Cheaper and way safer.

Yeah. MD500s are popular for line work.

What part of the south hills? I grew up in Mt. Lebanon. My folks still live there.

I know that area. Got pumpkins for Halloween every year at Trax.
